The Post graduate Department of Computer Science, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Civil Lines, Ludhiana is a thriving and dynamic academic unit, dedicated to providing quality education and fostering innovation in the field of computer science. Established in 2002 with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application and subsequently with addition of Under Graduate courses – Bachelor of Computer Application, BA (Computer Science), BSc (Computer Science), the department has been instrumental in shaping the careers of numerous students and contributing significantly to the advancement of technology and computing knowledge. The department boasts a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are passionate about teaching and research. Out of six permanent faculty members, three are Ph.D.s and two are pursuing the same. The Department is credited with good number of published books and publications in reputed journals.

The Department takes pride in its commitment to keeping students and faculty abreast of the latest developments in the industry. Since 2020, the department has organized more than 30 webinars on various cutting-edge topics, featuring renowned experts and industry leaders as guest speakers. Moreover, the department regularly conducts extension activities, such as workshops, seminars, and tech fests, to foster a spirit of innovation and exploration among students. These activities provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents, participate in hands-on projects, and collaborate with industry professionals.

All of the faculty members are eager to organise and ensure successful involvement in cultural events, excursion trips and social endeavours for the benefit of humanity. Every effort is made to inspire and enhance the morale of the students
