Department of Hindi

Department of Hindi, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Ludhiana, has been active for the last 55 years. HOD Mrs. Rajendra Kaur Malhotra (M.A. M.Phil) and Dr. Dilip Singh are dedicated faculty members. Despite being a non-Hindi language state, the number of students is good. Programs are organised by the department from time to time. Hindi Sahitya Parishad has always been active for this. Hindi Day is celebrated every year on 14 September and seminars, symposiums, conferences, etc. are organised. So far two books Pravasi Punjabi Sahitya Ek Nazar and Pravasi Sahitya Dasha and Disha have been published by the department. A seminar has also been organised on the topic Pravasi Punjabi Literature Worldwide Perspective.
